When Redox PrüstelGP Team told NIU “E-Mobility is the future and we would like to add this value to our racing team”, a natural match began to unfold.
Redox PrüstelGP Team are a German motorcycle racing team competing in the Moto3 World Championship in MotoGP – the pinnacle of motorcycle racing. Back in early 2019, the team reached out to NIU to share their ambitions for the new season starting in March in Qatar, followed by several overseas races including Andalusia, South of Spain.
The team consists of Jakub Kornfeil (34) and Filip Salac (17). Two racers with a good blend of experience and potential in the Moto3 series:
- 2016: 08th place Moto3 Championship
- 2015: 12th place Moto3 Championship
- 2014: 12th place Moto3 Championship
- 2013: 11th place Moto3 Championship
- 2009: Red Bull Rookies Cup Champion
- Born in 2001
- From the Czech Republic
- Bike: KTM
- Hobbies: Motocross, Snowboard, Freestyle
- Moto3 Debut: Wild Card Brno 2018
The team told NIU that scooters were in demand for getting around the paddocks as quickly as possible, for the team to best support their riders. The issue, however, is that most scooters are petrol which are neither carbon-free, nor environmentally friendly. The desire for a cleaner future is something strongly desired by the Redox PrüstelGP Team.
This partnership is a great match for the NGT: to show the ideal market fit for the product, and to show off the scooter’s swift acceleration and power. NIU agreed to sponsor the team by providing 3 x NGT scooters for them to improve their track life experience.
We’ll be checking in again with the team on August 10th 2019, when we pay them a visit at the Austrian Moto GP.
Good luck gentlemen! And welcome to the #niucrew
