NIU Opens Flagship Store in Jakarta

The world’s leading provider of smart urban mobility solutions opens flagship store in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Jakarta, 18/08/2020 – NIU Technologies (NASDAQ: NIU), the world’s leading provider of smart urban mobility solutions, has opened its first Indonesian flagship store in Jakarta. The mono-brand store exhibits NIU’s signature design philosophy and is located at Jalan Sultan Iskandar Muda No. 38F, South Jakarta.

The Jakarta flagship store is a 300m² space entirely devoted to NIU’s brand and its products. This flagship store was launched in partnership with PT Moove Motors Asia as a collaborative project following NIU’s expansion within the Indonesian market. Located in the heart of Jakarta’s automotive belt, along Arteri Pondok Indah, it has four levels of impressive display, which is one of the biggest in Asia.

The showroom is designed to bring in natural lights through the large windows. There is also a lounge area at the upper level of the showroom to emulate a home office environment for customers. It allows customers to see how our e-scooters can be incorporated into their daily life. The product line up on display will include the latest NQI GT, NQi Lite & UQim models. The interior is equipped with the latest 2020 NIU store design elements, including a state-of-the-art NIU Lab for servicing and repairs. The store’s capacity holds a minimum of 10 different scooters and will have the full range of NIU models available for test drives.

NIU is launched in 2015 with a crowdfunding campaign that quickly became one of the ten most successful crowdfunding campaigns in the world. Since September 2018, NIU has been listed on the NASDAQ and has since sold over 1.2 million units worldwide across 45 countries.

All NIU vehicles are linked to the NIU Cloud allowing customers to be connected to their vehicle 24/7 through an Android/iPhone app. Customers can check their battery status, view riding history, locate their vehicle, and be alerted of any unauthorized movement of their scooter.

The Indonesian government plans to fill their streets with more electric vehicles. We are set to see a rapid growth in adoption of electric vehicles thanks to presidential decree 55/2019, which places the EV market alongside energy security and clean air. With this new legislation, the country forecasts EV to make up 20% of the vehicle market by 2025. The electric two-wheeler will be the best solution to curb the chronic traffic congestion and air pollution issues in Indonesia.
