NIU adds Qi to all existing eScooter models to reflect product intelligence
Beijing | PR China November 25, 2019 –NIU, the world’s leading provider of smart urban mobility solutions has revealed that from today it will be slightly altering the way it communicates its product name. NIU is adding the two letters Qi to its eScooter products, a variation of Intelligence Quotient (IQ) in English, in order to gain a wholly global trademark for the future. The company released the following statement below explaining its decision.
Name Alterations to Current Products
When NIU joined the automotive industry in 2014, we wanted to stay true to industry tradition by simply lettering our products. We decided to name our products as the N, M and U Series respectively. We believe this was the most effective way for users to relate to them, as well as adding our thoughtless simplicity aspect to the smart eMobility solution we were offering.
Moving forward, we are going to add to this slightly in order to reflect the true nature of our product range. We decided ultimately to pursue a global trademark which does not require an overhaul of previous model identities. This is why we are adding the letters Qi to our products to gain a global trademark which truly reflects the intelligence of NIU products.
In a wide range of European languages, and in direct reverse to IQ in English, this stands for intelligence quotient: a smart, classy solution to making city life better for urbanites who must move around on a day to day basis.
NIU recently just released 4 key additions to its product line at the EICMA Motorshow on 6th November 2019 in Milan, Italy: NQiGTs, MQiGT, UGT Pro, all featuring 14″ wheels, as well as the addition of its EB-01 Electric Bicycle.
